      They highlighted how media often portray patients with T1D negatively, or at times “forget” that characters have T1D. The authors proposed that more advocacy needs to be done by large diabetes organizations. Using Grey’s Anatomy as an example, they emphasized the importance of consulting health professionals to ensure accuracy in media portrayals of patients.
